Dark Sky Star Party at the Tehachapi Airport.  Starts at 6:30pm to 10pm. Gates open at 5:30pm.  The AVAC will be there to help support this event, as well as other local astronomers.   Telescopes available for viewing.  Educational activities for kids and adults. Free and open to the public.

Moon: waxing gibbous about 65%;  Sunset is at 6:21pm.   Planets up:  Venus until almost 8pm, Jupiter rises at 9:36pm, Saturn rises at 4:50pm;  Neptune and Uranus will also be up, but unsure if we'll be able to see with the bright moon.
