There will be a Lunar Eclipse visible from our area on Sunday May 15th.  This event can be observed from the SAGE Planetarium in Palmdale, where we will have a public event with telescopes.  Weather permitting.  Free and open to the public, and you can arrive anytime after 7:30pm.   Sunset is at 8:17pm, Moonrise will be at 7:41pm.  The penumbral eclipse begins before Moonrise, but we will not be able to view it until it gets well above the horizon. 
Total eclipse starts at 8:29pm.

Maximum eclipse at 9:11pm.

Total eclipse ends at 9:53pm.
