Announcements

Our next club meeting is on Friday Nov. 9th at 7p. We will be having Dr. Jeff Rich giving a presentationon on 'Merging Galaxies' and also a brief summary on the Carnegie Observatories.  Dr. Rich is the Outreach Coordinator at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena.

On Saturday Nov. 10th the AVAC will be giving a public star party at the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound in Rosamond.  Setup will begin at 3:30 pm with the first tour starting at 4:30pm.   Sunset is at 4:50 pm. The last tour will depart at 6:30 pm.  This event is in conjunction with the EFBC's 'After Hours Red Light Tour'.  Public attending will need to purchase a ticket to enter the EFBC, and the money goes into their fund, and not to the AVAC.  More info to follow.  Members needed with telescopes.

We have a Prime Desert Woodland Preserve Moon Walk on Saturday Nov. 17th at 5:30pm.  Free and open to the public.  Weather permitting.
